Alarm+

Andreas Modahl’s free alarm clock program, the aptly named Alarm+, allows you to set up alarms and countdown timers. Via the New Component dialog you can easily add an alarm or a countdown timer. From the same dialog you can add an interval, a clock, or a stopwatch. All the elements you add are nicely displayed on Alarm+’s interface.

Developer Andreas Modahl explained that “I have only properly tested the program on Windows 8, but it should work on older versions too.” I installed it on a PC powered by Windows 8.1 and this is what I have to say: I got Alarm+ up and running in no time at all; after that, I had no problems using the application.

As mentioned above, you can add an alarm, a countdown timer, an interval, a clock, or a stopwatch from the New Component dialog. Green tiles for all the elements you add are displayed on the application’s interface. Thus, you can easily access them, efficiently manage them, and conveniently edit them.

Let’s focus on just one element now – Add Alarm. You can play with the following options when creating an alarm: specify if the alarm is a recurring one; pick the time and date when the alarm will run; wake the PC from sleep when the alarm goes off; pick an alarm sound; select what files and websites to run when the alarm goes off.
